This policy explains how E.B. Lighting & Supplies handles personal information collected through this website. It applies to this site and to the forms, accounts, bookings and orders offered on it.

Where this site is operated on our behalf by a technology provider, that provider handles information only on our instructions and never for its own purposes.

We collect only what we need for what you asked us to do, and we do not require you to give us information that is not necessary for it.

Under the privacy laws that use them, the categories below cover identifiers (such as your name, email address, phone number and postal address), internet activity (how you move around this site), and, where they apply to what you send us, commercial information and inferences. We do not collect biometric information, and we do not ask for information about your race, religion, health, politics, union membership or sexual orientation.

• To take and confirm payment, and to keep the financial records we are required to keep.
• To send you information about what you signed up for, and, where you have agreed to it, news and offers. Every marketing message includes a way to stop receiving them.
• To keep this site working, secure, and free of abuse and fraud.
• To understand which parts of the site are useful, in aggregate.
• To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Some of what happens to your information is automatic, and you should know where.

We do not run every part of this ourselves. Companies we engage handle pieces of it on our behalf, under contract, acting only on our instructions and never for their own purposes. By category, they are the providers who:

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, and then we delete it or irreversibly anonymize it.

• Inquiries and messages: kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterward for our records.
• Anonymized information — identifiers destroyed, with no way to reverse it — may be kept indefinitely, because it is no longer personal information.

• correct it if it is wrong;
• delete it;
• give you a copy in a portable form;
• stop or limit a particular use;
• withdraw consent you previously gave.

Depending on where you live you may have these as legal rights — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and, if you are in the UK or EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR. You have the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of them, and we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lesser experience because you did.

To exercise any of them, use the contact details at the end of this policy. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that we do not hand your information to someone else. We answer within the time the law allows, and normally much sooner.

Marketing. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it. Where this site sends text messages, reply STOP to stop them and HELP for help; message and data rates may apply.

Tracking. You can control cookies and similar technologies through your browser — see our Cookie Policy. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information.

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Where our services are for children — a class, a team, a camp, a program, a school — a parent or guardian provides the child's information to us, and we use it only to run the activity they enrolled the child in and to reach the parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information directly, tell us and we will delete it.

We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, restricted internal access, and monitoring for faults and abuse. No system is perfectly secure. If something happens that affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as promptly as the law requires.

We operate in the United States, and information collected through this site is processed there. If you are outside the United States, using this site means your information is transferred to a country whose data protection laws may differ from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

We update this policy as our practices change. The date at the top is when the current version took effect. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear rather than relying on you to notice.
